Freddy Acevedo is a classically trained actor, writer, and educator from Fort Worth, TX. He is proud of his family’s Mexican roots, and he embraces the beautiful burden that is redefining the immigrant mindset. Freddy received his MFA in Acting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is a former member of LAByrinth Theater Company’s Intensive Ensemble. He is currently based out of Kansas City, Missouri. Freddy is a member of Actors’ Equity Association. SAG-eligible.

Freddy’s original play La Intrevista was produced by KC Public Theatre and sponsored by Theatre Community Fund of Kansas City. He has also written works for theatre for social change (A Call 2 Conscience Theater) and political activism (Voz KC).
